We are making SO! MUCH! PROGRESS!
The boychild will be five in three weeks. No, he's not potty trained. Finally, though, we're making REAL progress.
Potty training is hard. Hell the girlchild just had her first completely successful day today after beginning the process (with her in the lead) over three months ago!
Add in the autism word and potty training is downright frightening.
When hew as diagnosed at age two I admit, the potty training thing, was one of the things that bugged me the most. It would be the most obvious difference visually. And the horror stories of kids not trained until 10 I was just HOPING he'd be potty trained by kindergarten but really? Telling myself that he may NEVER be potty trained.
This week we finally started hardcore at school and at home. With drinking tons of water and a timer and all kinds of goodness. At school? He's only had two accidents! At home? Definitely more. But today he was in undies all day and made it to the toilet three times successfully and communicated when he did not.
So here's to potty training. Another huge developmental milestone just over the horizon. So close I can almost feel it.
I'm so proud of him and he's so proud of himself. <3 These 'little' things? Are so very very big.

So proud of your little man! (and for the record, my kids didn't even notice and if they did, they didn't say anything) They loved him for HIM. He really is lovable - but you know that! xoxo
