Day 11: Pretend play all the live long day

Strangely enough the biggest reinforcements for both my kids in therapy has always been pretend play with figurines. Generally this is a HUGE issue with kids on the autism spectrum yet both of them always thrived in this area.

This still goes to this day as one of their absolutely favorite of all favorite activities.

And while waiting for the boychild to get out of speech therapy on Monday the girlchild and I had a fabulous time playing with a random house and figurines. Complete with bathtime, a monsoon, and watching tv "but no bad guys please".

I'm so amused that my kids are getting old enough for me to pretend I'm young enough to still like playing with figurines.

Though I must admit I need to work on my pretend voices. They all are a bit minnie mouseesque.
